Funny you should say this, I have made a decision to stop thanking everyone individually.
I feel awful about it, but dA makes it very difficult because of the automated blocking thing, it gets very tedious and frustrating.

I've stopped thanking for favourites because of that, I still return llamas and thank for watches, but the spamfilter was driving me crazy 
I'm sure people will be fine about it 
I wish they also had a button you could press just to say thank you for the favourite, that would make it just as easy as putting a work of art in your favourites ! I do still reply to each and every comment, that goes without saying...
