I use to read a lot of comics and they are as you say a great form of literature 
We all need heroes dear, they usually embody what is right and of highest principles and meaning to us...kinda figured on the song
PS the old TV cartoon of Thor was very much a comic style with the camera panning around the still frame...as the voice narrated the story

i love the character of thor and his world,but i was a little disappointed by the movie!

oh I am sorry I quite liked the movie but it was a bit forgettable as in bit same old same old
Yes thats the trouble when you read books before they become movies the characters you create are never the same,
