What does that have to do with the gun? Say we give him a Q-34 matter modulator, or a Fat Man, or a Plasma Caster.
To me, nothing beats stopping time, emptying a magazine into your target, then watch him be sent flying by the combined force of all of the bullets when time resumes. Heavy weapons just don't appeal to me. They lack finesse.
Plasma Rifles aren't exactly "Heavy Weaponry" like gatling lazers, or Missle Launchers. They are Rifles, weigh 8 lbs, and hold 12 shots in a magazine. You can empty its clip into a target, and watch it get blown back, decapitated, and/or melted into a plasmic goo. So their's that.
Plus, If you want over-the-top weapons, I've got you covered. A revolver that fires two bullets simultaneously? Check.
A set of Gauntlet SMGs which have a secondary fire mode that effectively turns your hand into a missile? Check.
A sniper rifle that can richochet its bullets off of air up to five times? Check.
A rocket launcher that is reloaded by flipping it around? Check.
And for the melee specialists:
A pair of trench knives which can fire off a self-regenerating explosive barbs? Check.
A sword which absorbs the blood of its victims, then uses the iron in said blood to generate a huge shockwave? Check.
A bladeless sword which when unsheathed, sends a razor sharp wave of air at its target? Check.
Your move.
