Don't know if you know about this, but in a little-known interview Lauren Faust mentioned your work as one of her favourite types of fan-art and said it's "much more beautiful than just being photorealistic".

This interview was done at the very end of 2012, and I know she was shown this particular piece soon earlier. I don't know who did the balloon, though, it was shown alongside your Canterlot so I thought you did both.
If you know for sure, that she has seen my pic before, then she really could mean it in the interview.
Though, I know there is an artist -don't know his name-, who made an image of canterlot and a balloon in very realistic style .
However, I don't know if she's seen that.

I can guarantee you that she was talking about your Canterlot, but I have no idea who did the balloon. Both were presented to her as part of a sample of various styles of pony art.
