And 800+ decks? You sure that's not altogether? Some areas seem to span several decks.

The numbers don't add up. You would need closer to 300 decks to have any room to work in. The average person is 1.8 meters tall...The chief is closer to 2. Average floor height is 3.8 meters in many skyscrapers. With 800 decks the average person would have to be on their hands and knees to get around, not to mention what a Spartan II would have to do.

Chief is 202cm without armour. And remember, the decks may not be stacked directly above each other. Like the poop deck on a ship. It wasn't a whole deck.

I dont think it is a matter of staggering decks. Heck, split level decks would make it even hared fit 895 of them into the ship. Though i cant find the source where the wiki got that number from. Going with the height of 202cm, adding space for a little headroom, floor pannels, ceiling panels etc....lets say a minimum of 2.6 meters per deck. Thats 2,327 meters, more than twice the height of infinity.

But two different decks may sit right beside each other, but serve different purposes.

decks beside each other have no reason to be numbered differently. Having split decks would still only leave room for a total somewhere around 500 or so.

We don't know how the UNSC designates its decks on ships.
