The sad thing is people usually don't realize this until its too late. People almost always try to reach out for help in some way before they commit suicide, but a lot of the time they're warning signs and calls for help go ignored. Don't assume that someone is just being overly dramatic when they cut themselves, because in reality they've already crossed the line to where they are more into the "I'll do anything to make it stop, even kill myself" territory than the simple "I'm feeling sad" territory that most are more familiar with.
