thanks, I've been trying to start doing one personal art piece per commission 
this is actually the fist digital painting that I did tried to do like this. I see what you mean buy the wing and muscle thing, his design is soposed to be very muscular and heavily built, and if he were to be able to fly his wings would have to be the size of a house! Although I may have gone overbord with the muscle definition....

And now you see why I have the excuse that Napther is overweight, and his muscle structure is hidden... Muscles are way out of my league for now...
ah, I used to have trouble visualizing where the muscles would be on my dragons, thats why I did the anatomy study, I often have it open in the corner while drawing so I can use it as a reference
Although no measure of anatomy research will ever give you the "right" answer if Dragons entered our realm or appeared on earth...
true, but a general idea helps to draw them.
