What do you think of her geeky-looking form?

Agreed.  I hate it!  She should have stuck with her first new look.  The hair wave and freckles were so cute!  When I saw she'd gone from that to looking geeky, I nearly went into shock.  I was like, "Why on earth would a beautiful, smart girl like her do that?  Did she loose a bet or something??"

The only reason she'd need to look that way was for the time-travel episode where the Bens switched minds.  But which came first: plans for her new look or plans for the episode?

(If you'd like me to explain my reasoning, please ask.)

It looks alright I guess...I wouldn't really draw it!But it's just my opinion!

I don't like it at all! Looks like she should be carrying an asthma inhaler. She's wearing sunglasses and not prescription lenses, yes. But the look is just so wrong for her, I think.

Yeah!I think the same!!She looks so geeky now!

Geeky-ness aside, I think I figured out why Man Of Action changed her look the way they did. In the first season, young Gwen met her future self in the episode "Ben 10,000". Aside from obvious developments and enhanced magic skill, there was little difference between the older and younger versions. In the last episode, "Ben again", 16 year-old Gwen saw her 11 year-old self and, aside from the glasses and skirt she now wears, there was - once again - little difference between them. This is the case both times because, I think, because it was intended as a way to prevent the past Gwens from asking to many questions about the future. But that's just my theory.

Don't have a theory for the freckles. But they looked better on her before her hair got cut. Eh, what are ya gonna do?

What was so awesome about geeky Gwen anyway?

Judging by all the changes the show made, my guess is - ManOfAction has come to the point where they want to "make a season so gut-retchingly awful that no one wanted to watch it".  This would result in plumiting rates resulting in the show's consultation.  And would Potentially result in a ton hate email and petitions from fans as well.

Told Gwen "ItsGwenTennyson", she found my theory interesting, too.
