"Special Thanks to *SirCxyrtyx for compiling the images, fixing all the errors, and exporting the images. Thanks to *Quasdar for finding huge numbers of errors."

Guys, I'm sorry to say it but this does come across as rather rude. It reads like "everyone who contributed, well, you didn't do it properly". Errors, errors, errors. With the nature of the source it was a given that there would be inconsistencies.

I know there was a massive amount of work involved in editing and I imagine just about everything needed recolouring to harmonise the picture. So of course that should be acknowledged and I thank you for putting in so much effort.

But if you'd talk about editing and proof checking (or similar) rather than "finding errors" it'd seem a hell of a lot friendlier.

I can see how that wording came off as indelicate. Not inaccurate though. Almost every participant has their own style. In individual images this can be hard to see, as the show-style they're tracing overrides that. But when 20 ponies from different people all end up in the same image, it starts to be very, very noticeable. Some characters had thicker outlines, some were over-saturated, some had rounded strokes instead of tapered. In individual images, such things would be of little importance, but all the differences clash in a group image like this. By the time of posting this, there may have been a certain amount of annoyance and desire to never see this poster again.

Yes, I know this. And it was apparent to me that this would be the case from the moment the collab(s) were posted. I'm fairly certain that you (whoever I'm talking to) and the rest of the VectorClub admins would have known this better than most before setting out to vector these posters.

My point is that as much of a pain in the neck as I'm sure the final assembly and editing was; it is an error to convey that frustration and potentially alienate those who took part.

I'm sure the VectorClub has become a bit of a double edged sword. I imagine the organisers of this project were very keen to take part (initially...), but it also seems that many people expect this sort of thing from you admins now and that's an understandably odd situation. However you feel about it you've got to keep your audience sweet though.
