yep boiling it usually is enough to pry off the stuff. you may have to cut off some of the glue with an exacto knife. The head should come off without the joint.
What kind of paint do you use for your customs? I've always had a hard time getting paint to stick to plastic.
1st thing you have to do is clean the hell out of the figure. The paint I use is acrylic. Umm the brands are tamiya and polly scale. Some colors are better in each than others
