what I'd add is that the person and the horse on the middle-left side
should pop out a bit more. plus if the light source is placed somewhere on the left in the bg
there should't be shadow only on the rocks that guides this path on the right
but also on the left - like it was magic time. which makes me think of the colour saturation
of the rock which is overlapped by another on the left side:
regarding the size of the figure with the horse the distance between the rock
in the forground and the rock in bg the colours of the second rock should be more
desaturated so the eyes can read that this is more far away.
In addition, what about making the bg on the left upper corner richer in
value? A few more shadowy blush/violett silhouttes of mountains in order to push this piece
with more depth would be nice, wouldn't it?
Hope you'll work it out completely someday so it is a fully finished concept art, it would turn out pretty well.

You're right. I'll definitely keep your advice in mind. Especially the two rocks on the left that have too dark shadows compared to the rocks in the front. Thank you for taking the time to point these things out to me!

I know what you mean! It takes time to work up motivation to go back to an old piece again.
I would definitely like to see a more refined version of this painting, myself, sometime. Only, there are so many other things to do, too.
