I think the depth blur might be just a bit too strong for my tastes, or maybe placed un-ideally... but I do love the colors you chose. And the details are of course wonderful.
You think so, I actually like the dof in apo, and yes it's harder to control then in any other software 
what makes it even more blurry is the hemisphere transparency - Im rather fond of it but again it's a matter of taste
