Actually the key word to describe a Mary-Sue is "Perfect" Mary-Sues tend to be perfect in every way. Have a million colors on them. Have a tragic backstory that is way too sad. AND They have some connection with the main characters in MLP.
People keep calling my dragon Kaiju a Mary Sue, but has none of the qualities on what you said.
