I could understand why Angry Joe would like it; really, that guy's main complaint was the lack of closure. That's what people were mostly upset about; include me in that mix. So plenty of us were happy to see some closure in the EC despite the Starkid's logic not making sense. We didn't care, just as long as we finally got peace on the subject of Earth and the rest of the galaxy not going extinct. I mean, the EC pretty much changed how the Mass relays got blasted. They were destroyed, somewhat, but it wasn't enough to put the entire galaxy into annihilation and make the culmination of our choices moot.

So I, along with the rest that liked the EC, were fine with it for a while (plus...BABIES. KROGAN BABIES, HOW CAN YOU NOT I CAN'T EVEN....and ZAEED OMG ZAEED CHILLIN' LIKE A BADASS IN HIS RETIRMENT...yeah you get the point).

And then the Leviathan DLC came out, and after I finished it, I didn't realize until now how much I really, really hated the Starkid's logic.

I think the DLC made the explanations a lot worse. Starkid really just needs to go. The primary theme of Mass Effect was never about synthetics vs. organics because that was already resolved in the Rannoch arc. I felt like the peace I made between the geth & quarians was made in vain because of the Starkid's logic. The theme of Mass Effect has always been about uniting against all odds and overcoming the Reapers through the Power of Friendship and Galactic Unity™. It's the unity that should have been able to defeat the reapers, because no other previous cycle has been able to genuinely unite the galaxy in order to defeat them. People say you can't defeat the reapers through conventional means...IMHO, a galaxy united is unconventional.

From now on, I dash-quit whenever I have to face the Starbrat and replace his audio with Harbinger on YouTube or whatever. Then I continue on with the Extended Cut that way...makes everything a lot better.

And then I catch up with the Marauder Shields comics after wards because ever since reading these comics, I have been let down with Priority: Earth and what could have been...*sigh*

Oh. Closure. Got it. Glad it was enough for all those people. For me it was loss of any logic, storytelling quality and character consistency, and, later, "vocal minority consisting of whiny entitled kids" part. Sorry it didn't work out for you in the long run *checks BSN* and it seems you're not alone on that matter.
