By the way! I've been wondering this for awhile. I think I've read your descriptions enough to make an educated guess, but what is Louis, or what does he identify as? My first guess is that he's just a flamboyant crossdresser, but still identifies as male. My second guess being that he's transgender, and identifies as female.
By the way, I kind of just quietly followed you a bit ago and never really got to properly express my love for your character. I've fallen in love with Louis-- he entertains me and fascinates me. I always get excited whenever you post new drawings of him, and I am all too eager to learn all about his backstory.

Transgender in the 17th century ... I wasn't aware they had the procedure back then. Louis is a man on his own terms; he's not crossdressing, he dresses in ridiculously overdone Baroque clothes for men. He'd never dream of changing his gender, and does not identify as female.
