Uh, I'm from San Antonio where if you don't wear shorts that short and you're working outside in the heat you'll pass out if you aren't wearing a pair that short. At least I didn't put them in Daisy Dukes. :/

XD I'm from San Antonio too. True, I'm not a girl, but I know plenty of 'em who wear shorts to the knee, and last time I checked they're not dead. Heck, I complain about the heat more than them.

If it was "Daisy Dukes", then it might just need to be censored. But even that is up for debate on this site. Either way, don't fret. 'Tis just my opinion on modesty and what the Mane 6 would wear if they were humans. At least from a stereotypical point of view, AJ would be more conservative and would wear more modest clothing.

Omg, suddenly comrade! *unasked for glomp of SA love* Maybe it's just my group of chicks...then again I worked at Fiesta Texas during the summer. Maybe that's where all my heat visions come from...The people that come through there...so scarey what they wear...*shudders*

I guess I never thought of it as indecent since it's the kind of length I wear (oh lordy, am I secretly scandalous?!) I can totally get where you're coming from though (the WHORE word was a bit much for me though!) And rest assured there will be no buttcheeks slipping out of shorts that I draw for these girls! (I think fanservice based anime has left me hazy on the line of modesty :/)

Hug a brothah! XD Oh, I know how that is. There was a running joke at my HS that working at Fiesta Texas was the last possible resort to get money. XD I don't even need to work there to know how hot it is. :P

Well, society's standards have changed. And yes, you can blame anime.

It so is...I was sixteen and wanted to buy a car dammit! I was desperate enough to work in games. Which is apparently third lowest on the totem pole, just above Janitor and Ride Worker(for some reason. It was funny that ride workers hated THEIR job so much they'd transfer to our department) I think lifeguard might be best just b/c they had the chillest supervisors. MINE took their jobs WAY to seriously if you know what I mean T_T

Yeah, it's easy to think "this isn't slutty!" when you're used to twenty page chapters full of panty shots and unnecessary boob grabbing :|

I don't exactly know why, but there are people in this world who when they get a job like assistant manager at Chuck-E-Cheese, feel like what they're doing is the most important thing to mankind. Then they treat everyone like they're stupid for not understanding everything perfectly without any help. Ah... the workforce. XD

Yep. I'd call it "desensitization", but I'm sure you'd use a different word.

Mine were always like "You have to talk to ALLL the customers!" and "Always say 'Have a six flags day!'". It's just like, "No, thank you, you already made me tuck my highlighter yellow polo shirt that says 'Have a <3 Do your part Don't litter' on the back into my waist high khaki shorts, I think you've degraded me enough without me saying that bullshit out loud." And you know not all the customers WANT to be talked to by a teen with braces and a bad dye job so let it goooooo LARA. (not bitter)

That chiz in anime made me think there was something wrong with the girls around me since we didn't constantly compliment each other's underwear in the locker room or grab each other inappropriately in public. Then I realized, "Oh it's Japan and they're weird enough to sell panties in vending machines so MAYBE I shouldn't set my standards to THAT."

It happens. XD

There's some strange crap in anime, warnin'.
