I really like these two from their first appearance, and towards the end of the chapter my heart was all with them.
A very nice visualization of them, both design wise and execution! The shading is really impressive, though wouldn't Gem's(I assume she's the one on the left) leg cast shadow on the lower part of her hindleg as well? I may be interperating the angle wrong, though...
