And now, a taste of things to come...
The Sisters were sick of constantly being assaulted.
Of being at odds with those who should be their allies.
The gates of the Sama District slowly groaned open, and forth poured a massive army of Sisters, ready to do battle with the Ork, the Eldar, and the Necron. Not even Chaos would escape their wrath this time.
This time however, they demanded the aid of General Vance Stubbs, rather than his cessation of Governship.
And forth they marched from city to city, territory to territory, planet to planet, wiping from the face of each Chaos, Eldar and the Ork alike.
As they reached Kaurava II, Boreale was just barely managing to hold the Orks back before the combined might of the Sisters and Imperial Guard fell upon the Orks. At the moment of their defeat, a few Orks managed to escape with the knowledge that they had flipped the Sisters the bird and lived.
Reunited with their allies, the Space marines marched forth with them as a force of three, felling all before them.
On Kaurava III, the territories of Essal Ir Talith and Coastal Imossa quickly came under Imperial jurisdiction.
Finally, after a bloody and gruesome campaign on Kaurava IV, the strongholds of the Peninsula of Iseult and the moon of Lacunae were assaulted, smote and purged thoroughly.
What happened to the Tau, one might ask.
As they saw how the combined forces of the Imperium operated with such an overwhelming amount of firepower and confidence, sweeping every foe before them like gnats, they were terrified that after they had gotten through with Kaurava IV, they would immediately head for Nan Yanoi.
The Tau opted to make a desperate defense, and use their mighty Ar'ka Cannon to bombard any approaching armies.
Withing hours of the Nan Yanoi perimeter defenses being completed, their Great Ethereal was beheaded the Tau defensive crushed.
Their powerful Ar'ka Cannon was left largely for the Adeptus Mechanicus' studies, and the rest of the Tau weaponry was compiled.
Half of it was kept for study.
The rest was dutifully wiped from existence.
In the closing days of the Kaurava Campaign, the cities of each planet were rebuilt, better than ever before.
The Imperial Guard 252nd Kauravan Conservator Regiment maintained a vigilant eye on the sands of Kaurava III, should anything else awaken.
The Blood Ravens Space Marines established a new Fortress Monastery in the Lands of Solitude, and initiates were regularly tested on each planet, and always would they watch for any signs of corruption.
The Order of the Sacred Rose established a new center of holy worship in the Sama District, and many Sisters from different Orders would come to pay their respects to all those who fell in the Founding of Holy Kaurava!
