The Ottoman state still exists as a tiny rump puppet state, demilitarized, neutralized, not allowed to have any foreign policy aside from trade agreements, and most of its industry and agriculture is owned by Greek and Russian firms.
And yes, the Dutch imvested in colonies OTL they never expanded, and rely less on the East Indies for their power base. Losing any one colony would be a big blow, but not one they couldn't recover from, and they can kick some serious ass.
