Comment on dAmn.ws *Broken* by photofroggy
Well I didn't try out WSC because friends who use it often have issues with it. I've read your most recent journal about WSC and yes I know it's a totally separate client (I mean that's the deal isn't it?)
- Well you could make nicks a function everyone could chose to use or let be - like implementing it and adding a mark in the settings panel people can remove if they decide not to use them - something like that. I just find it cool to nick-name people especially when I have insiders with friends
As for other functions...
- Since I know that a lot of people do roleplaying on dAmn something should be added that sort of makes it easier to read long posts. I'm roleplayer myself and a multiline-player in addition so I know it can be a hassle to write as well as read long posts - but for a good RP they are sort of essential to a lot of serious players. But I sort of don't know if something like that is even possible. - is there a character limit on WSC btw?
- Friendlist and custom colors for friend tabs (like if Friend A tabs you you could give him a color in the settings so the tab glows red or something). The Bundle has something similar but they only have a small number of preset colors to chose from ^^
- Nationality flags? - I sort of find it a cool feature of TheBundle because it sort of makes the question "Where are you from" unnecessary xDD - but then again it'S not a must have
- There also is a function on TheBundle that can enforce showing mature thumbnails (at least if you have mature deviations activated via your dA settings) - would be useful on channels like ShareZone if you are someone who does not mind seeing mature thumbs ^^ But I guess that is also sort of additional candy lol
- There is a Script called ThumbTools. It helps you organize thumbs and make lists for features and note people on being featured and such stuff. Possibly something similar could be implemented in WSC so people can add thumbs to their collections from WSC (unless that isn'T already possible) or to a temporary list that can be noted to your account ... uhh ... nevermind I sort of noticed that this idea is still sort of embryonic
I guess that's about it with my ideas so far. BTW: If you copy and paste the text from WSC to for example word - are there any issues? Because Roleplayers like me like to log their RPs on Word so we can make a break and continue later I used to play on a chat where I had icons in between the posts when I copy and pasted them to word - it was a hassle to delet them out - idk why it happened. Haven't had it happening on dAmn by now though.
As for the ideas that could help boosting chat usage: Well when your exams are done and you have some spare time we can talk about it - just talk and then we can see how to possibly realize those ideas ^^
