Wow, that's really sad. Milkshake and Kes where huge parts of your artwork for who knows how long. We'll all miss em'. Kinda reminds me of my late pet lizard, Mitch. I'll never forget his escape attempt when I first got him, the store clerk tried to get him out of his cage and Mitch just leaped out and scrambled across the pet shop. It caused quite a bit of commotion but we finally did get him. Then, the next year, he slipped off of his leaf and broke his back, and that killed him. I know this hardly has anything to do with this, as in you gave your birds away and my lizard died, but it's just really painful to loose a pet. After having them for so long, it feels like they're part of the family.
