The details are amazing and that coat is gorgeous! ^^ Can't wait to see it finished! :la:
I know this is a dog sculpture out of all clay but I have a question. ^^; I assume you've sculpted with Breyers before and I was wondering when resculpting, say a complete new broken leg out of clay, attaching and baking it, while it bakes does the Breyer model become soft as it gets reheated while the leg cooks or does the model stay firm?

I hope that makes sense :giggle:, sorry if it seems like a random question out of the blue but it's something I've been wondering for quite some time. I've put off sculpting because I was afraid I might ruin a Breyer.

Hey there! i...have never modified a model yet...i only have one breyer horse that i had ever since being a teen XD (i do plan to paint him over some time since he turned yellow of old age....) but usually these models are resin and shud take the heat, tho i wouldnt recommend it, i've been following people who do this for a living and most of them work just with apoxy sculpt (an 2 component air drying clay that smoothens with water, that way you dont have to bake them :3

Apoxy sculpt, got it! I thought maybe you'd done some breyers. ^^; I'd love to see the breyer when you repaint him. :3 I've customized with pastels but have so I'd like to resculpt, fix or repose. :3 Do you know where to get the apoxy sculpt and is it expensive?

i got some for christmas and my bf bought it on a dutch artshop site, ebay sells it too but its very expensive (especially the shipping prices) so id recommend to look around in local art shops or art sites
