I think the different between 2D and semi realistic is the details, especially semi-realistic would be harder than 2D when painting on their faces. Every artists actually have the references from real human. You can get it from Magazine or the pictures on internet, and practice to draw portrait of them. The important part is anatomy which I still stuck with it. After doing this for 50-100 pieces, you can sometimes create your own pic by no reference.
Yes definitely! Not just the way you colour and shade but also the way you draw the details right?? I need lots of practice XD Thanks for your advice
