oh, if alginate is close to the price to the plaster, then you should clearly use alginate! it's easier to work with and you get better results! In my case, alginate is really expensive in Romania... I think it's something like 30 euros per kg...
Well, It's the same thing for me: 100gr for 19€ in store!! >.< but I found a web site and I buy 900gr for 24€ (with the shipping cost^^, It's a bit expensive but better than the other one!
