I like the soft, flowy hair. 
I can tell you used the burn and dodge tool a lot but on this art work it looks pretty nice. It gives his hair a soft glow that works well with your art style. In my humble opinion anyway.

I really, really, really like his hair!! It reminds me of this one kid, Kosaka, in an anime called Genshiken.
