i dislike having to watermark in general but i have had too much work pilfered before now so i watermark everything aside from stock.
Thats ok. people should not be pilfering work at all so what your doing is the right thing.
true. its still sad that artists in general have to do things like that due to people pilfering images etc. its very said but only the things worth getting stolen get stolen so you have created something amazing that poeple want. they are just useing the wrong methord to get it
thats just the way of the world. too many people think just because something is online it means they can help themselves to it
the internet is meant to be a shareing tool not a taking tool
very true - i just emailed one of the artists i watch on here as i was in a local small mall that displays artwork from local artists in the empty shop units - and today some of the works on display were copied from an artist i know on here. 
i know if my work were taken and used by someone else for financial gain i would hope someone would tell me. yes i think all artists hope that people will tell them if there work gets nicked.
