Hmm... that's a very valid point. :P
I guess my mom kinda let me get away with stuff like that as a kid. Well, not all the time, but still, when I refused something, she wasn't too persistent. Hehe...
(I'm already trying the sprouts experiment, btw. I just have to wait a few more days until it happens so I can try it on him. I'll try to keep your advice in mind! :D)

Oh, your mom never insisted you to eat your carrot? :p
I'm lucky mung bean sprouts always available in the market because it's human vegetable too. :)
Btw, you can also make sprouts from snow peas. ;3

Yeah, she did pester me with some veggies (dad was in charge of making me hate fruit, lol), but she never pushed me very hard if I really didn't want to eat it.

I just used some beans and wheat for this experiment, since it was what we had around the house already. Lol, the last time I tried sprouting seeds was for a biology experiment in school, when I was about 8 years old or something. I know I got some awesome sprouts that I showed to the class back then. I hope it'll work just as well after all these years now :D

Do you use cottons to grow them? I did so when I was in school. :O

Yeah, just some wet cotton and the seeds you want to sprout.
For some weird reason, though, none of the seeds sprouted this time around. Hmm.... Not sure what went wrong exactly.

(How could younger me be smarter than older me?!)

I'm gonna try it with some millet since... well, it's a funny story, a seed once ended up in the bathroom toilet brush holder (they get EVERYWHERE around the house since they're so tiny) and we found it sprouted in there after a while, lol.

What about buying any kind available sprouts in the market? As long as it's safe for us to eat them raw, I think it'll be safe for the birds too :D

Those aren't as widely available over here, but now that you've mentioned it, I think I did see something in the vegetarian isle of one of the bigger supermarkets. Hmm... I'll go check it out next time I'm there. Thanks for the tip! ;)
