yes totally.. I have never used reflections yet as they seem so slow and instead I use images as mats and as lightmaps to give highlights and effects on the objects.. some reflections calculations tell me it will take a day or 2 to render so I just give up... if I had a spare pc I would be happy to let it chug away for days but life is too short to wait for that kind of thing 
I'm in a position that I pick up older computers a lot, so I've got computers spread out over our house (BEWARE GEEK AHEAD!). I've now got 3 that surrounds me - My 4 year 2 gigs of ram, Dual Core Vista Ultimate, My 8 month old 6 gigs of ram, Quad Core Windows 7, and my newest addition... My Acer Mini 11.6" laptop, 4 gigs of ram, I3 3'erd generation Dual Core Windows 8, which is connected to my 32" HD TV and plugged into my Yamaha Home Theater System... so she's got some KICK! I love Electronics!
