This is pretty fantastic. I mean, I don't think there's anything I can say to "improve" it any other than I think Whinney needs to be a little larger. She's supposed to be large and stocky. But otherwise her body is quite proportional with itself and Ayla's body is quite proportional as well. And the background is just amazing. Keep up the awesome work! 
Yeah I wasn't too sure what Whinney's true breed would have been, but yeah you're right she would have been much stockier than that!

It never says... the only thing we are truly given about her are the differences between her and modern day horses. There's been speculation that she's supposed to be a Przewalski's, though, or of similar qualities.
Yeahh when I googled "steppe" horses it came up with Przewalski's, although I wasn't sure that's what Whinney was when I read that they were from the central asia area. But the look of them matches Whinney's description. I guess we're just left up to our imaginations! Haha
