Agreed, has to be fun, as soon as it becomes "work" it starts looking forced. Not going to lie, there are times I get frustrated, but I think we get better when we got out side our normal restraints. I have been watching your new posts, love the "Gang vehicle" and back ground designs. Would love to see you do a matte painting of that design

Sometimes it starts as fun and it turn into work an back to fun. Those kind of processes I do like a lot. For me, on such painting I have the biggest learning curve (i guess).
And its a good mixture between fun and hard work.
Yup - its good to go "out" and coming back with new experiences that could be brought back into the comfort zone

Its also fun looking back on the learning process and seeing how much you improved. So of the stuff in my portfolio is down right embarrassing, but at the same time, it shows that every one can grow and improve! Looking forward to a matte down the road

I was browsing my CGHub portfolio some days ago and I kept my first post in my portfolio from july 2010. Wow - this wasn't me.
but on the other hand side - its great to keep it all and to see how much someone can improve. Thats our own story - just in pictures.

So true. We all start somewhere, and its always nice seeing other accomplished artist start at the same place we did. It gives some hope. Great way of putting it, "our story in pictures"
YUP! And thats another big point on the journey - hope.
