It's always hard when you're a creator...
Well, Nolan does have good sides to him as well. His movies are often well edited so they usually feel shorter than they actually are (Inception, Dark Knight Rises). His conceptual ideas often have interest to them that I can appreciate even if I often feel he doesn't really tend to get out of them everything he might want to. He also normally attracts some high caliber actors that have enough skill to make his one-dimensional characters at least somewhat interesting... or at least create the illusion of interest. And a big plus is for largely using practical effects instead of relying on CGI to do the same. Other than that, can't really think of anything else that I really like about his films... Not that I loose any sleep over that or anything.
