well, is it ok if i can clue you in as to my perspective on the episode? i mean, if you don't want to hear it, its ok, because i'm somewhat ok with chrysalis, but not to the point that i'd fanboy about her...the only pony(ies) i'd fanboy about is fluttershy, dashie, and my personal favorite, discord...
Oh I have no problems with the episode, just Chrysalis. And go ahead tell me what you think of it!
well, i haven't seen it yet, but i want to so bad, as well as season four episode one, because i somewhat heard that discord is in it...anyways, if you look too much into the fanbase for chrysalis, you'd find out that she did it in order to feed her changeling hive...she just wasn't thinking right with the whole invasion idea...so chrysalis isn't really an bad guy...she's more or less under false advertising...but sometimes you can't help but feel bad for her because she's not fully able to keep her hive fully fed and what not...basically, if you think about it, every single villain; Trixie, Chrysalis, Discord, and Luna(i'm not adding sombra because he's just plain tyrannical...also another pony i like...)have an bad reputation...Trixie just wanted to have ponies notice her, chrysalis wanted to feed her hive, luna was put under, and probably still is to this day, false assumptions because of her actions as nightmare moon, and discord is basically the optimist, only wanting to liven things up for everypony, even though it may get extreme*cough*chocolate milk rain*cough*...but still...
They can't take things to the extreme like they do. There is always a chance for compromise, and no neeed for the extreme.
: What do you mean by that? i don't quite follow...Luna could've compromised about the whole moon thing, Discord could've compromised about his chaos causing, and Chrysalis could've absorbed some love from ponies WITHOUT HAVING TO TAKE OVER EQUESTRIA!
