Devious Comments

This is beautiful.
The petal color is so soft, and the detailing in the center of the flower is crisp.

You really have an eye for unique and visually pleasing composition. I also like the way you frame your compositions.

Stunnin'. Now I read about your set up, I can visualise it. Just one question. Would you ever take into account the relative dimensions of a conventional frame when cropping? I never ever do, but I have been asked for a couple of prints, mounted, and it would be so much easier to get a finished product, rather than struggle with the square and landscape format that I usually end up with. Not a road I would want to go down, but just wondered what others think.

I never worry about it. I take care of all that in photoshop. I have books and mags that tell and show me how to make the prefect print size and because the background is black you can alway add to one size to make it fit.
Here is the easiest one off the top of my head. in photoshop start a new doc with the size you need and then drap your image into that doc. You can use the free sizing tool to make is larger or small to fit. When you have the size you want hold down the shift key and select both layers release and press V for the move tool. On the tool bar you will see a group of items select the 5th from the left and that will center everything. Then Flatten the layers. Now you have the perfect frame or the pefect size.

LOL Thank you. I am still learning and working out the kinks. I do get joy from knowing that others like my work. Thank you so very much.

That's straight forward enough. Thanks. I was beginning to think I would have to build custom frames or bui d the difference with mounting board. Thanks again.

I love the colors and composition! It's just beautiful...

Um...if you wanted a different composition, maybe you could try flower silhouettes from different angles (like looking up from beneath the petals; I don't see a lot of those), or you could experiment with water drops (for some amazing water drop pictures, you can visit the =TasteOfLiquid club) :)
