it honestly think its a bit of a shame its TOO brassy,maybe some dark brown wood accents or some pure golds would help to bring out all the love you've put into it :S
I checked it out earlier today with your first WIP of it and,and i have to really congratulate you.Its great the use of trash materials you got into this and it really works as a whole

Thanks for the comments. I like it brassy, m'self, looks more industrial to me and that's a style I tend to like, plus the photo bleeds out a little of the contrast despite my attempts to rebalance it, but I understand fully where you're coming from. On the other hand, I had a little bit of a budget to work on. I've done wood handles before and certainly could have done it on this, but that would have been an extra 20-30 USD. Plus this was part of a matching set, so then the other would would have needed wood on it as well. Suddenly that's an extra 50 USD the client didn't want to spend.

well you can just paint it on actually,its what i would've done ;)
But i can understand,im starting my own prop work and hoping to sell my works,so a clients demand is more important than personal taste

To be clear: I like it shiny. I ust would have also liked it woody.
