That... was unexpected. OAO

When I started the story, I had thought that perhaps Reader was a country, and something had happened to her to make her lose her memories. But that theory hadn't explained why she had been cooped up and coddled.

When the pills were introduced, my theory changed to Reader being a clone. I thought Gilbird was a clone as well.

When it was finally revealed, it was one of those "mouth slowly gaping open" sort of revelations. "Oh... my... God."

It was a bittersweet story, and it speaks to me about the idea of how Ludwig had tried to protect Reader, but had, in the end, been the ultimate reason for her dissatisfaction with life...

:iconbravoplz: This was definitely one of the deeper mini-stories that I have read. It's amazing how potent the story is without going into every detail.
