His anatomy is 100%! You did not make any mistakes. I love the enviroment.
But my eyes are drawn to Smeagol-the cavern around him doesn't distract from him.
I will add that even if somone were looking at this, and had no idea who Smeagol was-they'd still see that this charcter was suffering.

I love it! You have a real Goose Quill pen! I used to have geese/Ganders-the DEVILS! I tried inking with a quill or two, same with duck quills. I cut the quill to try and ink with it-but wasn't smart enough to add a nib!!!!
This is a great drawing/painting-one of your best so far!

I ignore why, but inking with quill makes my traces flow better and cleaner. I actually can't realize what's the difference between that and a wood or plastic quill...perhaps the weight of it, or something...don't know, but it helps...I love the sensation when using it
You had ganders?...They're so mean and cranky and adorable the same time!!! I like them alot! (plus they're yummy, hehehe)

Ganders are mean bastards. I raised 4 from hatchlings when I was carrying Cat'. When they grew up they attacked me at every chance-those serrated beaks tore the hell out of me. I gave them away. I hope they ended up Christmas dinner for someone! They really were DEVILS!!!! They were African Grey Ganders...not a female in the bunch. A gang of assholemales!

I have an antique pen/nib holder, it must have gotten damaged. I have several holders. They feel nice. I will try and find a nice fat feather for a nib. I still have ducks, and somtimes find Heron, or turkey feathers.

Precious Thing is an incredible drawing/painting. Jawdropping, great at regular size, but jawdropping when I viewed it larger! Wow! The piece is stunning!
