Oh my gosh! This is late but I wanted to tell you what happened.
Well, while I was finishing up my breakfast, my little brother went out to throw away the trash. When he came back, my mother asked him, "Was it cold outside?"
I'm sitting here thinking, 'Uh yes, the news said that Jack would spare us from suffocation.'
But my brother says, "Nope, not at all!"
My world just..crashed. It wasn't the tiny little twinge of disappointment that I would usually feel.
Almost as if someone had told me my dog died, or that my crush found out I liked him and laughed at me. (I sure hope neither happen!)
Completely heartbroken, I was going through the state of pure denial.
'That can't be..he must be lying! To try to make himself look tough! Jack wouldn't bail!'
...would he?
Since my brother forgot a bag to throw away, I immediately snatched it up and ran outside.
I felt the deliciously cold breeze softly caress my face and hands; and the relief! Oh, you have no idea how happily overjoyed I was!
Twirling like the idiot I am, I shouted:
"Thank you Jack Frost!"
The scary part? The wind picked up as soon as I said that. I was like, "
Hello?"
