On the other side Blueblood's role was just to be Prince Charmless for Rarity. He never really got any entertaining lines in his appearance.

Yeah, if they ever bring him back, they'll probably give him some character development.

Then again they've had Diamond Tiara as a semi-regular on the show since the start and she's still just a nasty little jerk.

Well he had this very short cameo in Rarity's song "Becoming Popular" and it would be nice to see some character development for him. I doubt he will ever get much focus in the show but just a short scene that shows that he did learn something from the gala disaster would be nice.

Diamond Tiara has it even worse. She has found her role as the bully of the CMC and I doubt there will ever be a situation where the show would need to change that. She isn't developing; she is just playing the same part whenever the CMC are the focus of an episode. In the third season she is still the same bully she was in the first one.

Maybe the show could give her some subtle character development by having her and her father or Silver Spoon as background ponies, just enjoying themselves and spending time together. It would show that she is not only a bully and she could still play her part once that is needed.

Yeah, it was nice to see BB there and being non-jerkish in his behavior.

And I agree with everything on Diamond Tiara. I don't even like her (don't hate her, mind, I'm just not really a fan) but the poor filly deserves some character development.

Though she kind of got some when her father gave that little lecture in school and she was shown clapping; much as Silver Spoon did in that same episode when she clapped for Granny Smith.

For Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon I think the "One Bad Apple" episode showed that while they do enjoy way too much to bully the CMC or anybody who seems to be an easy victim, they do truly enjoy spending time together.

They seemed quite happy to be with Babs as well and in the end they seemed to be sad that she left (at least before Babs defended the CMC).
