I don´t like the theory of Starswirl. It makes sense, but I don´t like it very much. I prefer thinking that Discord was the only draconequus who had ever existed. In fact, I´m writing a fanfic in which I develop this theory. Of course, it´s impossible that what happens in it can be canon, but I´m trying to make it look like that. I don't read a whole lot of fanfiction anymore, but I might take a look. 
And yeah, I think the idea of making Discord Starswirl would give the show MAJOR story awesomeness points, I love the idea of a little baby Discord. 
I like my friend's theory of how there used to be a lot more draconequui and alicorns thousands of years ago in their world, but there was a massive war between the two species that killed off most of the draconequui. So Discord is one of the last - possibly THE last - one of his kind. Even my draconequus OC that I made as Discord's adopted son wasn't always a draconequus - he used to be a pony colt until he was transformed by a horde of Windego-like animals and Discord found him after he was abandoned by his family.

During my fanfic I tell all Discord´s life, from the moment when he was born to the part in which he was turned into stone. After that scene, I want to add the last part, a conversation between Fluttershy and Discord in which he mentions a little bit of his past, and apologizes for being so evil in the past. And it would be great if you let me use the paragraph of this pic as Fluttershy´s answer. That would be very emotive. Do I have your permission?
