I took up commission work shortly after developing a feel for sculpture but ended up so busy drawing and making accessories for other people I never worked on anything for myself.

I'm just starting to work on things for my own benefit again.

Yeah, me too, actually. I am a graphic artist professionally, but my true goal is to be a published novelist.... that's what I've been working at for years. Work gets in the way, so I have to cut back, too to do my own projects. It's hard to juggle that.

Yeah, one of the projects I want to make is a bunch of poseable maquettes I'll use to make key frames and storyboards for an animation project I want to make. I started a story when I was 12, originally was going to try and publish novels of the whole thing, but always thought it would be better as an animated series, and although it'll be a few years still before I make it to even the teaser stage, I feel like it's a more viable medium for the story.

We'll see if I redecide later because I still need to finish updating the old manuscripts to be more solid storytelling as well as adapting to a script.

Sounds very interesting, though. I wish you the best of luck on it!!!

Thanks, here's the tutorials I saw for simple poseable dolls.
