This a very good piece of artwork. Since I don't know the character depicted I can only offer one (I hope) constructive piece of criticism. You already mentioned a problem with the shoes so I'll note that to me it looks like you are showing both the top of the shoes and their soles, which is an impossibility. I'd remove the soles and maybe make the shoe itself, especially on the left foot a slight bit longer and wider.
