Something that I have been thinking about for a while:
I would like to be able to choose which journal to display on my front page, why is there no such option?
If there is it is very well hidden, I have been experimenting many times now. maybe someone knows a way, in that case please share

If you wish to feature a specific journal on your frontpage, just add a "featured deviation" widget where you want it to go! Since journals are now considered deviations you should be able to select and feature a specific journal just like you can a deviation.
It almost worked, could not get the whole thing to show, but thanks for the great information, might work for a short entry in the future! 
Ahhh yes it's a preview unfortunately, but still, a good way to bring attention to a specific journal entry! Good luck!
