Maybe you could try to make the spots more dense, because it looked cool from the thumbnail, but the the full size feels like it lacks details a bit. That's just my oppinion, atleast.
Yes, I know what you want to say, but the first idea was a graphic edit of the original picture (using simple PS filters), which looks better from larger distance, than form smaller. (Maybe an design which could be printed on a T-shirt
