yes this is true,I too ahve made a few friends who actully care to ask how you are doing and comment and fav your art as well as watch you , adn you do so inreturn. but I have had so many people who start to talk add you as a friend , and you do in return and they never speak to you after , you dont see any art come out of them or hear any replys from them.
I have seen so many people here on Da who dont even use there account for art and who have "premium memberships" and use line art for all there work ( other people line art ) while i have watched other who have amazing talen but cant afford any membership at all. its relly sad to see. and thease are the same people who have ask for people to watch them and stuff. its just depressing. yes I see your point

I think all one can do is to be kind to those that we encounter. You can't watch everyone, but you can see their work from time to time. I think dA has changed a lot. For a time I referred to is as the FaceBook of Art. And that is how so many people use it. Even my own use has changed. Now I use it more to promote my shows and workshops. And I spend a lot less time here. I used to post more, but now I am down to about a picture a week. I still log in almost every day, and I work a bit on the gallery responding to people, but there is not the same drive for me. In addition I admin a number of groups so I spend my time doing that. I am not sure if any of this even matters. The reality is that if someone responds, well and good, if a friendship develops that is good too, but I expect less and less from dA. And maybe that is a good thing too.
I am not sure if anything I say matters or makes sense, but I still recall your journal, and it still spoke to me and that is good too.

I took have been on here less and less, and posting a lot less too ( in both my photography and drawing side of me ) adn your right , their is nothing I can do but except what I gotand go with it , wether people respond to me or not.
