Because the materials they use aren't made from animals. :)

I doubt that's possible. At least completely. I once read an article about what kinds of products are made from the different parts of a cow, and even a vegan will have a very hard time avoiding all of them - aside from the fact that quite a few are pretty surprising (is there such a thing as vegan glass, for example? ^^) - because there are no vegan alternatives to many of those products (in fact, vegans really even rely on some of them - like vitamin supplements, for example)

Oh, I know. I think fur is actually made from oil, and oil has a huuuuge history of harming animals.
I'm not sure if there are animal products right in the stuff they use, but I wouldn't be calling it vegan if it were me. I just wanted to explain why they were. :)
