I think you did a wonderful job with the applique eyes and cutie marks. I don't have an embroidery machine either and I hope I can do half as well as you did. I hand sewed Derpy's eyes on the one I made. It took forever and I didn't even give her her cutie mark. The next one I make will have machine applique. I was planning on it for Derpy but didn't for some reason. How did you make her wings stand? Wire or foam?
It does take forever to do all the hand sewing. I still did some of that along with the machine sewing.
Actually, there is nothing in the wings. They aren't too big so they stand pretty decently on their own. Next time I will probably add a layer of interfacing just to give them a teeny bit more stability.
