You can use only latex yes (there's no hardener to mix or whanot), you just need something which have the shape of what you want to copy to put the latex over, but latex comes off quite easily (it's quite flexible), I've used it over necklace pendants and stuff like that without fearing of breaking my pendant once the latex is dried. ^^
