Wow, this is your first try at crochet - that is well impressive!
My first try at crocheting a full garment. I've been crocheting since I was 6 but I've never made a piece of clothing.
That would make more sense. I would so wear something like this, but I would catch it on every doorknob and cabinet handle in the world.
I haven't had bad luck with that....I thought I would!!
Runs in the family - when we moved to this house, they were just finishing construction and my mom told them not to put any pulls on the kitchen drawers, because she was sick of catching the belt loop on her jeans.
Hahaha, my dad actually ripped a cupboard door off its hinges by catching a pocket on his work jeans on the doorknob. That's so funny that this is such a common problem! I thought my dad was just special for ruining our cabinet. 
Not at all. We tend to have French (lever-type) handles on our interior doors instead of knobs, and I have nearly strangled myself on many occasions when my scarf caught.
Oh my gosh!!! That's deadly!
