Amusing alternative ending if I do say so myself. I will admit, MMC was rushed and it left a dissatisfied taste in my mouth, but I never once complained or hated Twilight's sudden transformation (I was shocked at first but that was probably it). The problem I had with that episode was people say it was a perfect episode (Which by all means I am not berating them for their lack of quality, I respect them), they say that it was well paced, the plot was excellent, and the songs were beautiful (I'm not fond with songs but they we're good to listen). The problem is... even as I have a different retrospect of the episode than the others, I find it perplexing that others view this as a well-paced and perfect episode. Granted, I would had approved of MMC if it we're to be split into 2 (3 would be perfect) parts of her ascendance. Yes we did get a hint of her transformation back in the season 3 episode 2 ending, but that was pretty much it. There was no indication or hint that her destiny was approaching, it felt so sudden. It starts out as a normal day, then cuts to her friends having their lives changed, Twilight tries to fix the problem for a few minutes, goes into depression, quickly gets out of depression with sudden clarity of what to do, fix the problem, poof she's with Celestia, wings, coronation, 'Everything's going to be just fine.', End. And it was all sandwiched in a 22 minute episode (Which I give them credit for doing their best) in which people say it wasn't rushed or sudden. I have yet someone come up with a 'reasonable' opinion on why this wasn't rushed or sudden, but I shouldn't tackle it down since it's in the past. When I came across this however; it was interesting to know that I had the EXACT idea and resolve of the alternative ending (Coincidence? Eh probably.). The only thing that seems too out of place in this ending is that it's too philosophical for young girls to even comprehend, and fans desperately emailed this to Hasbro saying this should be the ending. Yes I am with Twilight with this one, I understand her completely, but even if this we're to be considered to be canon, I find this too bittersweet and heartaching for young children to take in (then again Batman The Animated Series pulled those off). But what I'm really trying to say here is you made a great alternative ending, one that I would accept but don't encourage to be canon, and that I wasn't the only one who had the exact idea and logical conflict with a logical resolve at the end.
Either way, alicorn is a lose lose result for everyone when you staple princess along with it - the life span thing may or may not apply or could be addressed

The notions of destiny are also misleading- because density has no specific definition, so there is no way to make any real statement about it like you could a road map- magic doesn't change this because ..... Well, we don't literally know how it could- and if it did, that approaches the danger of playing God

This alternate end may be too much for younger minds to understand or tolerate emotionally .... But the delusions that have been the successor to all episodes previous season 3 finale are worse- false notion, incorrect message, lies = useless

I've seen too many metamorphosis to know that they are often nasty and lacking- something precious is lost errevocably and while time passes, learning is not the same as the stereotypical and delusional notion of "growing up" - which is often emulation of your predecessors along with their flaws, and even if not that it invites internal stagnation and dispassionate lively hood- you rot inside- joy, excitement, and the genuine expression of that and more without sins of your delusion hanging over all become just a memory to which you are no longer worthy

Far too many things that are unnessicary and wrong are justified and done just because it can be done without thought to the consequences - that is season 3 finale, that is an innapropriate message to everyone -along with delusions that power and skill make being everyone's political master -"the best" seterotype- is fun and ok

I do not exaggerate when I say that if there were doubters before, season 3 finale effectively made the show into the stereotypical girl formal they always brushed the show off as- despite the enduring witty bits, the second you pretend that princess is okay after you've been so accurate with frindship lessons is a regression and a slap to the face of what made the show special

I honestly lose respect for everything alicorn upon season 3 finale onward - now if something like this happened and things cascade and Twilight needs to slap on wings to save the day (save the day, not get titles), I'd relate and accept fully- because that is heroism and friendship-

Your foundation is honesty

Your guide is kindness

Your long term balest is loyalty

Your daily joy is laughter

your appreciation is generosity

And all together, magic is the power to defend this treasure

Not to assume rights and privilege beyond it - of which case if that is what it means to be a princess below the clearly fake surface then all of pony kind is not a society of virtue, but a mass of naive fools held together with lies and half truths ... Yes, I thought that far into it and it isn't pretty

I understand the mechanics of tilling and taming the patch of land on which they live is nessessary weather control, farming, and Magic support along with the night and day to wide up and down the ecosystem to match rest with productivity - all are perfectly fine to eliminate scarcity while not damaging their environment, what you can't nor should try to control is love or friendship- it doesn't work that way nor can it healthfully- only delusion would make it work, and regrettably it is now clear Equestria has plenty of that

Maybe that is why they convieneintly have so many would be villains that want to plunder their taken for granted success - and I don't mean just social oversight neglect, I mean outright naive and incorrect concept of the world that isn't under an alicorn's sway or enslaved by their notions or intimidated by their power

I also have a bad feeling that celestia , drawing from the show, have other nations politically uninterested in the societal cultural superstitions in exchange for focusing on trading for the bounty Celstia has her naively happy little fool ponies making in abundance

Yes, that last part is a theory although there is plenty of room to doubt as there always was when you add politics and hierarchies to the mix - power and hierarchy is where friendship and love goes to die no matter the intentions- to pretend this doesn't happen is beyond stupid even with talking ponies and magic - not to mention is ruins the purpose and the reason entirely

Alicorn wouldn't be a problem if delusions of destiny and glory and honor and the pointless unhealthy weight of politics and social stratification were not tied to it- in which case, sparkle does as sparkle is

As opposed to sparkle arbitrarily turns into something else because of what sparkle was ... Yeah...

I don't agree what so ever with destiny jargon for or against anyone or thing, I do not agree that difficult jobs are worthy ones- some are just excessively pointless or take far more than is worth it- no delusion can sway me there

If princesses shows respect for boundaries like in here - or even learned not to and kept well on tat lesson- I'd respect them again- including not singling out some of your best youth just to suffer under chains deemed needed by your limited mind Dulled by age

I think we agree that the episode wasn't perfect and should have been handled better

This alternate one is spectacular in how clear and honest it is

Even if the age span thing is not ture for all alicorns (of which would make wasting your life on such a thing all the more idiotic as the show has done) friendship means nothing when your "purpose" is to be away and effectively be unable to live it, or be expected / mandated to do anything emulating that

Which is why I do not agree with princess though I'd accept alicorn as a means to truely in the moment take to arms needed to whether danger

It's releaving to hear, like you said, that some are truly aware and willing tobsee this far- that not all take it all at face value withought serious thought only to find it doesn't add up in the context of a more experienced and honest mind

Thanks for the interesting comment.

Granted my opinion is nothing more than an insignificant influence that tries to enlighten and teach other's point of views, but stating as my comment as 'interesting' can be questionable (depending on how you used it in your honest reply). But I am thankful that you had the chance to read through my response, knowing my message didn't end up being washed away like discarded wastes, lost in a sea of comments that will never be acknowledged and read.
