Oops, wrong batshit tweet by McCarthy, I forgot what the original topic was. Anyway, unless Twilight dies in the show than what she said there has no merit. The only way she can't outlive her friends is if dies before them (unless they all become immortal, which is fucking retarded. If Twilight is mortal and she doesn't die before all her friends than it means she outlived some of them, which is directly against the tweet.). Since I doubt that will happen the question really has no relevance to the show whatsoever and as McCarthy obviously just said it to appease unreasonably upset fans it can't be taken as canon. Anyway, alicorns are NOT immortal. Faust has confirmed that. She stated that Twilight's destiny is to replace Celestia, so this isn't really as big an issue as everyone says because Twilight is still going to die.
Well we can agree that Twilight is not immorta. nor most likely will she be getting extended life. Also it has been confirmed the toilet will not be leaving Ponyville, of her own choice I might add she will continue to call this town her home.
If she is going to be Celestia's successor, which makes the most sense and was the original intention, than she most likely get extended life. I'm not sure if that's still where they're going as the mythology has sort of been getting retconned into something much stupider. As much as I dislike McCarthy's recent writing, I feel a bit sorry for her for the crap she has to put up with, both from Hasbro and from the fans.

That being said, I fail to see what another random McCarthy tweet has to do with anything. We weren't talking about Twilight leaving Ponyville.
I have every reason to take what McCarthy says as canon. First, if you haven't been paying attention she has LIED on twitter numerous times, most famously about Twilicorn. Second, her writing has gone to shit starting with A Canterlot Wedding. Third, while she is the head writer right now Faust was the creator of the show, the true writer of the show, and this goes against everything the original show was about, the original show which actually had a coherent plotline. It's no more pointless to not accept this as it is to accept it. EQG being canon is pretty much pejorative in everyway. There reason to have to accept it as canon if it has no effect on the show, so I'm completely justified in ignoring her confirmation.
